The 31st International Festival has concluded, and Triangle Taiko performed twice over the week-end. We hope everyone enjoyed our new Yamato. It is an older song but received some updates just for the International Festival. We were also able to show off our brand new Happi. They are quite spiffy.
Hurricane or not, we practiced for the International Festival, even when the electricity went out. So, we hope to see you this week-end at the 31st International Festival of Raleigh. We’ll be performing a new song for your entertainment.

The annual Summer Festival is a combination of both Tanabata and Obon. Tanabata is the Star Festival with people writing their wishes on strips of fancy paper and displaying them on bamboo trees, signaling that summer has finally arrived and that summer vacation is just around the corner.
You can enjoy Martial Arts demos, Karaoke, kid’s games, and taiko performances. Japanese food will be available for purchase. Food available: Yakisoba, Kushiyaki, Takoyaki, Curry & Rice, Grilled Corn, Hiyashi Chuka, Snow Cone, drinks, and more.
